Our Roots

In the 1950's, Mississippi Management, Inc which later became MMI Hotel Group and Goff & Associates both committed to opening Holiday Inn franchises - the 13th and 18th in the world - respectively. Roughly seventy years after our founding, the descendent leaders of these businesses came together to create Beechwood Hospitality, an MMI company.

It may seem like a humble beginning, but this was just the first step down a long and successful road for our founders and generations of Jones, Sturdivant and Allen family members to serve this organization, its team members, guests and community.

Looking back on our history, it seems fitting that Beechwood Hospitality started by bringing together family and old friends. Now led by the third generation in this family business, Beechwood Hospitality is positioned to honor its long-standing legacy in the industry by challenging expectations for the future.

Our success story begins and ends with people ─ our most precious assets – a precedent that has piloted our course through countless economic cycles and industry advancements. Beechwood Hospitality has evolved as a hotel management company, but through continuous improvement, positioned itself for exciting growth. Multiple projects showcasing the depth and breadth of our team members' talents are in process. Business intelligence tools have been tweaked. The hotel management company's leadership team has been renewed with seasoned industry professionals, bringing their experience in aspirational organizations to their responsibilities. A priority on people remains. Today, we seek partnerships with owners who expect a professional, personalized support system for their hospitality investments.
